PROLE runs on people who believe strength carries responsibility. We're always looking for coaches, organizers, creators, and anyone willing to put in the work to make fitness more accessible, more honest, and more useful. No application process. No gatekeeping. Just show up.

This isn't corporate volunteerism. No matching t-shirts. No photo ops. Just people building something that matters.

IT'S NOT CHARITY

Volunteering with PROLE is mutual aid in practice. You contribute your skills and time; the community gets stronger. No one's doing anyone a favor — we're building something together.

REAL IMPACT

Your community WOD introduces 20 people to purposeful training. Your event work will raise thousands for immigrant defense funds. Your content helps someone learn their first clean. This isn't performative — it's tangible.

YOUR PEOPLE

PROLE volunteers are coaches, nurses, teachers, tradespeople, veterans, organizers. People who train for something. You'll build real relationships with people who share your values.

COMMUNITY WOD HOST

Monthly · In Person

Host a free community workout at your gym, park, or training space. We provide the programming and promotional support — you provide the space and the energy. Community WODs are always free, always open, and always for a purpose.

Ideal Volunteer

  • Access to a training space (gym, garage, park, etc.)
  • Coaching ability or willingness to learn
  • Desire to build local fitness community
  • Reliable and consistent — people count on you showing up

EVENT VOLUNTEER

Help run PROLE events — from fundraiser workouts like Lift for Liberation to community seminars and competitions. Setup, registration, logistics, judging, teardown. Events don't happen without people willing to do the unglamorous work.

Ideal Volunteer

  • Available for event days (weekends, typically)
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, physical environments
  • Team-oriented and reliable
  • Fitness knowledge helpful but not required

CONTENT VOLUNTEER

Contribute to PROLE's educational content: write movement guides, film exercise demos, create training resources, or translate existing content. If you have knowledge worth sharing and a rejection of fitness industry nonsense, we want to hear from you.

Ideal Volunteer

  • Writing, video, photography, or illustration skills
  • Knowledge of strength & conditioning, nutrition, or recovery
  • Alignment with PROLE's no-BS communication style
  • Ability to meet deadlines (even volunteer ones)

MUTUAL AID SCOUT

Help us find and vet mutual aid organizations to partner with. Research groups doing direct-action work in your community. Help us ensure that every dollar we donate reaches people doing real, accountable work.

  • Research and due diligence skills
  • Understanding of direct-action vs. institutional charity
  • Commitment to transparency and follow-through

TRANSLATION & ACCESSIBILITY

Help make PROLE accessible to more people. Translate programming content, app interfaces, or educational materials. Help us identify and fix accessibility gaps. Good training shouldn't have a language or ability barrier.

Ideal Volunteer

  • Fluency in English plus at least one other language
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (a11y) is a bonus
  • Attention to detail and cultural sensitivity
  • Commitment to inclusive fitness

BETA TESTER

Test new features in the PROLE app before they ship. Follow new programs, stress-test workout flows, find bugs, and give honest feedback. We need real athletes using the product in real training sessions — not QA scripts.

Ideal Volunteer

  • Active training practice (any level)
  • iOS or Android device for mobile testing
  • Willingness to report bugs clearly and consistently
  • Patience with things that don't work yet
